Well the nursery progress is underway, thank goodness. It won't look like much in the photos since I took them midway through his day. But J has been hard at work and has gotten the whole room painted, including the ceiling (we are really bad at painting and there were smudges of gray around the perimeter of the ceiling!), painted the walls and closet and attached the majority of the baseboards, painted and installed a new door and began installing the door frames. How's that for a run-on sentence?

This coming weekend, J is planning on building in the closet. We have an idea of what we want but it's still kind of up in the air. He also needs to caulk and add quarter round to the baseboards. This week we're also going to try and get someone in to do the window (we had a guy but he seems to have fallen off the face of the earth, so back to the drawing board on that).

I am slowly picking up things we need and things we want to decorate the nursery. Most notably, I finally found some decals for a small section of Bubbles' wall, of which I'll share the details once we've moved forward a bit more.
Here is our to-do list as it stands:
Purchase furniture
Replace the broken window
Replace the door and it's frame (pretty much there)
Spackle and Paint
Baseboards (pretty much there)
Build in the closet with cube storage and a counter for the changing pad
Purchase bedding
Purchase and hang art
Make boxes for the bookshelves
Make and hang an abacus
Purchase a pouf or ottoman
Put together a finish dresser
Put together and finish ikea shelves
Put together all other furniture
Purchase additional room accessories
How long do room remodels usually take for you?
