This Salted Caramel Blossoms Cookies recipe is the best easy twist on Traditional Peanut Butter Blossoms. These homemade cookies are the perfect soft and chewy dessert option to make this Christmas or for any other holiday or special occasion (or just because!).
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees and line sheet pan with a silpat or parchment paper.
Beat butter and caramel until well combined.
Add granulated sugar and brown sugar and beat until fluffy.
Beat in egg, milk and vanilla until well combined.
Gradually mix in flour, baking soda and salt until it all comes together.
Rfridgerate for at least an hour, preferably overnight.
Shape dough into 1 inch balls and roll in additional granulated sugar.
Bake 8-10 minutes or until golden.
Immediately after they come out of the oven (while the cookies are still hot) Press a Rolo into the middle of each cookie and sprinkle lightly with Malden salt.
Enjoy!
Notes
These will last a few days in an air tight container (include a piece of bread to keep them from hardening).
Chilling the dough is super important in this recipe because it tends to be super stick and flatten out when baking.
