An apple yogurt parfait with granola is a simple way to start your day or refuel in the afternoon. Creamy yogurt, crunchy granola, and fresh fruit, all done in under 10 minutes for a nourishing and satisfying treat.
Take four 8 ounce clear glasses. Place 2 Tablespoons of granola into an even layer at the bottom of the glass.
Next, place 2 Tablespoons chopped apples into the cup in an even layer on top of the granola, turning the apple skin sides toward the sides of the glass to expose the red color.
Now add 3 Tablespoons yogurt to the middle of the cup and use a small spatula to gently spread the yogurt into a single layer on top of the apples.
Repeat the steps by adding another layer of 2 Tablespoons granola, then 2 Tablespoons apples and a top layer of 3 Tablespoons yogurt.
Smooth and swirl the yogurt on the top. Sprinkle with a large pinch of granola and garnish with 2 thinly sliced apples. Serve immediately.
Notes
Show off those layers. Clear glasses or jars let the colorful fruit and creamy yogurt shine, or try layering them in stemmed glasses or wine goblets. They instantly look dressed up!
Alternate layers evenly, but don’t stress about exact measurements. You can eyeball the layers, and it’ll still come out great.
If you’re using apples or pears, toss them with a little lemon juice to keep them from browning, especially if prepping ahead.
Keep the granola crunchy by adding it right before serving instead of letting it sit in the fridge.
Change up the crunch. Cinnamon, coconut, or even chocolate granola all bring their own vibe to the parfait.
Play with flavors by swapping in seasonal fruit or different yogurt flavors like honey or lemon.
Make it fun for kids by setting up a parfait station and letting them build their own.
Ingredients to prep ahead- Wash and chop fruit ahead of time.
Leftovers and storage- These parfaits taste best right after they’ve been assembled.
